I usually just cast on at the same point on the colour repeat and hope for the best. I guess I must e quite a consistent knitter in regards to my tension as they usually line up OK :P

Great looking socks! Your stripes lined up beautifully too! I usually don’t have the patience to make them match, so I have a lot of fraternal pairs… do you have any hints for making both socks so identical?

Love ‘em. I’ll be trying out the stockinette gusset on my next socks – I like the smooth look you get. And I’ve been meaning to try the Eye of Partridge heel too. Partly because it reminds me of Eye of the Tiger and Alan Partridge. Anyway, I’m babbling…

When Kemps were selling off stocks of Kaffe Fassett Design Line for Regia for £1.20 a ball (or whatever it was at the time) I bought two balls in each of the colourways they had in stock, so I just dip into those when I fancy making pair of socks. Most of the socks I have made for Craig have been rather bright, so I just picked out a colourway with a darker palette for a bit of variation.
